1Praise ye Jah! O the happiness of one fearing Jehovah, In His commands he hath delighted greatly.
1Praise the Lord, ye children: praise ye the name of the Lord.
2Mighty in the earth is his seed, The generation of the upright is blessed.
2Blessed be the name of the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.
3Wealth and riches <FI>are<Fi> in his house, And his righteousness is standing for ever.
3From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.
4Light hath risen in darkness to the upright, Gracious, and merciful, and righteous.
4The Lord is high above all nations; and his glory above the heavens.
5Good <FI>is<Fi> the man--gracious and lending, He sustaineth his matters in judgment.
5Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high:
6For--to the age he is not moved; For a memorial age-during is the righteous.
6and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth?
7Of an evil report he is not afraid, Prepared is His heart, confident in Jehovah.
7Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill:
8Sustained is his heart--he feareth not, Till that he look on his adversaries.
8That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people.
