1Praise ye Jehovah. Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, That delighteth greatly in his commandments.

1Praise the Lord, ye children: praise ye the name of the Lord.

1Hallelujah! Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed.

2Blessed be the name of the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.

2 His seed shall be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3Wealth and riches are in his house; And his righteousness endureth for ever.

3From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.

4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: He isgracious, and merciful, and righteous.

5Well is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth; He shall maintain his cause in judgment.

6For he shall never be moved; The righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.

7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: His heart is fixed, trusting in Jehovah.

7Raising up the needy from the earth, and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill:

7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed confiding in Jehovah;

8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, Until he seehis desireupon his adversaries.

8That he may place him with princes, with the princes of his people.

8 His heart is maintained, he is not afraid, until he see [his desire] upon his oppressors.

9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the needy; His righteousness endureth for ever: His horn shall be exalted with honor.

9Who maketh a barren woman to dwell in a house, the joyful mother of children.

9 He scattereth abroad, he giveth to the needy; his righteousness abideth for ever: his horn shall be exalted with honour.

10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: The desire of the wicked shall perish.
