1My heart is fixed, O God; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises, even with my glory.
1My heart is confident, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul.
2Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake right early.
2Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn with my song.
3I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah, among the peoples; And I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
3I will thank you, LORD, in front of all the people; I will sing your praises among the nations.
4For thy lovingkindness is great above the heavens; And thy truth reacheth unto the skies.
4For your faithful love is greater than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches the very clouds.
5Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens, And thy glory above all the earth.
5Be honored, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be seen over all the earth.
6That thy beloved may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer us.
6Save us with your powerful right hand and answer us, so that those you love may be rescued.
7God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult; I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
7God has spoken from his sanctuary: 'I will triumph! I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Valley of Succoth.'
8Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the defence of my head; Judah is my sceptre.
8'Gilead belongs to me, and Manasseh is mine. Ephraim is my helmet, and Judah is my royal scepter.'
9Moab is my washpot; Upon Edom will I cast my shoe; Over Philistia will I shout.
9'Moab is my washbowl; I throw my sandal on Edom as a sign of ownership; I shout in victory over Philistia.'
10Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who hath led me unto Edom?
10Who will bring me into the strong, fortified city? Who will lead me to conquer Edom?
11Hast not thou cast us off, O God? And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.
11Is it not you, O God, who rejected us? Will you no longer go out with our armies?
