1And the second lot came forth for the children of Simeon by their kindreds: and their inheritance was
1And the second heritage came out for the tribe of Simeon by their families; and their heritage was in the middle of the heritage of the children of Judah.
2In the midst of the possession of the children of Juda: Bersabee and Sabee and Molada
2And they had for their heritage Beer-sheba and Shema and Moladah
6And Bethlebaoth and Sarohen: thirteen cities, and their villages.
6And Beth-lebaoth and Sharuhen; thirteen towns with their unwalled places;
7And Remmon and Athor and Asan: four cities, and their villages.
7Ain, Rimmon, and Ether and Ashan; four towns with their unwalled places;
8And all the villages round about these cities to Baalath Beer Ramath to the south quarter. This is the inheritance of the children of Simeon according to their kindreds,
8And all the unwalled places round about these towns as far as Baalath-beer-ramah to the south. This is the heritage of the tribe of Simeon by their families.
9In the possession and lot of the children of Juda: because it was too great, and therefore the children of Simeon had their possession in the midst of their inheritance.
9The heritage of Simeon was taken out of Judah's stretch of land, for Judah's part was more than they had need of, so the heritage of the children of Simeon was inside their heritage.
10And the third lot fell to the children of Zabulon by their kindreds: and the border of their possession was unto Sarid.
10And the third heritage came out for Zebulun by their families; the limit of their heritage was as far as Sarid;
11And It went up from the sea and from Merala, and came to Debbaseth: as far as the torrent, which is over against Jeconam.
11And their limit goes up to the west to Maralah, stretching to Dabbesheth, and to the stream in front of Jokneam;
12And it returneth from Sarid eastward to the borders of Ceseleththabor: and it goeth out to Dabereth and ascendeth towards Japhie.
12Then turning east from Sarid to the limit of Chisloth-tabor, it goes out to Daberath, and up to Japhia;
13And it passeth along from thence to the east side of Gethhepher and Thacasin: and goeth out to Remmon, Amthar and Noa.
13And from there it goes on east to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin; ending at Rimmon which goes as far as Neah;
14And it turneth about to the north of Hanathon: and the outgoings thereof are the valley of Jephtahel,
14And the line goes round it on the north to Hannathon, ending at the valley of Iphtah-el;
15And Cateth and Naalol and Semeron and Jedala and Bethlehem: twelve cities and their villages.
15And Kattath and Nahalal and Shimron and Idalah and Beth-lehem; twelve towns with their unwalled places.
16This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Zabulon by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.
16This is the heritage of the children of Zebulun by their families, these towns with their unwalled places.
17The fourth lot came out to Issachar by their kindreds.
17For Issachar the fourth heritage came out, for the children of Issachar by their families;
18And his inheritance was Jezrael and Casaloth and Sunem,
18And their limit was to Jezreel and Chesulloth and Shunem
21And Rameth and Engannim and Enhadda and Bethpheses.
21And Remeth and En-gannim and En-haddah and Beth-pazzez;
22And the border thereof cometh to Thabor and Sehesima and Bethsames: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the Jordan: sixteen cities, and their villages.
22And their limit goes as far as Tabor and Shahazimah and Beth-shemesh, ending at Jordan; sixteen towns with their unwalled places.
23This is the possession of the sons of Issachar by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.
23This is the heritage of the tribe of the children of Issachar by their families, these towns with their unwalled places.
24And the fifth lot fell to the tribe of the children of Aser by their kindreds:
24And the fifth heritage came out for the tribe of Asher by their families.
25And their border was Halcath and Chali and Beten and Axaph,
25And their limit was Helkath and Hali and Beten and Achshaph
26And Elmelech and Amaad and Messal: and it reacheth to Carmel by the sea and Sihor and Labanath,
26And Alammelech and Amad and Mishal, stretching to Carmel on the west and Shihor-libnath;
27And it returneth towards the east to Bethdagon: and passeth along to Zabulon and to the valley of Jephthael towards the north to Bethemec and Nehiel. And it goeth out to the left side of Cabul,
27Turning to the east to Beth-dagon and stretching to Zebulun and the valley of Iphtah-el as far as Beth-emek and Neiel to the north; on the left it goes as far as Cabul
28And to Abaran and Rohob and Hamon and Cana, as far as the great Sidon.
28And Ebron and Rehob and Hammon and Kanah, to great Zidon;
29And it returneth to Horma to the strong city of Tyre, and to Hosa: and the outgoings thereof shall be at the sea from the portion of Achziba:
29And the limit goes round to Ramah and the walled town of Tyre and Hosah, ending at the sea by Heleb and Achzib;
30And Amma and Aphec and Rohob: twenty-two cities, and their villages.
30And Ummah and Aphek and Rehob; twenty-two towns with their unwalled places.
31This is the possession of the children of Aser by their kindreds, and the cities and their villages.
31This is the heritage of the tribe of the children of Asher by their families, these towns with their unwalled places.
32The sixth lot came out to the sons of Nephtali by their families:
32For the children of Naphtali the sixth heritage came out, for the children of Naphtali by their families;
33And the border began from Heleph and Elon to Saananim, and Adami, which is Neceb, and Jebnael even to Lecum:
33And their limit was from Heleph, from the oak-tree in Zaanannim, and Adami-hannekeb and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum, ending at Jordan;
34And the border returneth westward to Azanotthabor, and goeth out from thence to Hucuca, and passeth along to Zabulon southward, and to Aser westward, and to Juda upon the Jordan towards the rising of the sun.
34And turning west to Aznoth-tabor, the limit goes out from there to Hukkok, stretching to Zebulun on the south, and Asher on the west, and Judah at Jordan on the east.
35And the strong cities are Assedim, Ser, and Emath, and Reccath and Cenereth,
35And the walled towns are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth
38And Jeron and Magdalel, Horem, and Bethanath and Bethsames: nineteen cities, and their villages.
38And Iron and Migdal-el, Horem and Beth-anath and Beth-shemesh; nineteen towns with their unwalled places.
39This is the possession of the tribe of the children of Nephtali by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.
39This is the heritage of the tribe of the children of Naphtali by their families, these towns with their unwalled places.
40The seventh lot came out to the tribe of the children of Dan by their families
40For the tribe of Dan by their families the seventh heritage came out;
41And the border of their possession was Saraa and Esthaol, and Hirsemes, that is, the city of the sun,
41And the limit of their heritage was Zorah and Eshtaol and Ir-shemesh
46And Mejarcon and Arecon, with the border that looketh towards Joppe,
46And on the west was ... opposite Joppa.
47And is terminated there. And the children of Dan went up and fought against Lesem, and took it: and they put it to the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt in it, calling the name of it Lesem Dan, by the name of Dan their father.
47(But the limit of the children of Dan was not wide enough for them; so the children of Dan went up and made war on Leshem and took it, putting it to the sword without mercy, and they took it for their heritage and made a place for themselves there, giving it the name of Leshem-dan, after the name of their father, Dan.)
48This is the possession of the tribe of the sons of Dan, by their kindreds, the cities and their villages.
48This is the heritage of the tribe of the children of Dan by their families, these towns with their unwalled places.
49And when he had made an end of dividing the land by lot to each one by their tribes, the children of Israel gave a possession to Joshua the son of Nun in the midst of them,
49So the distribution of the land and its limits was complete; and the children of Israel gave Joshua, the son of Nun, a heritage among them;
50According to the commandment of the Lord, the city which he asked for, Thamnath Saraa, in mount Ephraim: and he built up the city, and dwelt in it.
50By the orders of the Lord they gave him the town for which he made request, Timnath-serah in the hill-country of Ephraim: there, after building the town, he made his living-place.
51These are the possessions which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the princes of the families, and of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed by lot in Silo, before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and they divided the land.
51These are the heritages which Eleazar the priest and Joshua, the son of Nun, and the heads of families of the tribes of the children of Israel gave out at Shiloh, by the decision of the Lord, at the door of the Tent of meeting. So the distribution of the land was complete.
