1Also, at this my heart trembleth, And it moveth from its place.
1At this my heart trembleth, and is moved out of its place.
2Hearken diligently to the trembling of His voice, Yea, the sound from His mouth goeth forth.
2Hear ye attentively the terror of his voice, and the sound that cometh out of his mouth.
3Under the whole heavens He directeth it, And its light <FI>is<Fi> over the skirts of the earth.
3He beholdeth under all the heavens, and his light is upon the ends of the earth.
4After it roar doth a voice--He thundereth with the voice of His excellency, And He doth not hold them back, When His voice is heard.
4After it a noise shall roar, he shall thunder with the voice of his majesty, and shall not be found out, when his voice shall be heard.
5God thundereth with His voice wonderfully, Doing great things and we know not.
5God shall thunder wonderfully with his voice, he that doth great and unsearchable things.
6For to snow He saith, `Be <FI>on<Fi> the earth.' And the small rain and great rain of His power.
6He commandeth the snow to go down upon the earth, and the winter rain, and the shower of his strength.
7Into the hand of every man he sealeth, For the knowledge by all men of His work.
7He sealeth up the hand of all men, that every one may know his works.
8And enter doth the beast into covert, And in its habitations it doth continue.
8Then the beast shall go into his covert, and shall abide in his den.
9From the inner chamber cometh a hurricane, And from scatterings winds--cold,
9Out of the inner parts shall a tempest come, and cold out of the north.
10From the breath of God is frost given, And the breadth of waters is straitened,
10When God bloweth there cometh frost, and again the waters are poured out abundantly.
11Yea, by filling He doth press out a cloud, Scatter a cloud doth His light.
11Corn desireth clouds, and the clouds spread their light:
12And it is turning itself round by His counsels, For their doing all He commandeth them, On the face of the habitable earth.
12Which go round about, whithersoever the will of him that governeth them shall lead them, to whatsoever he shall command them upon the face of the whole earth:
13Whether for a rod, or for His land, Or for kindness--He doth cause it to come.
13Whether in one tribe, or in his own land, or in what place soever of his mercy he shall command them to be found.
14Hear this, O Job, Stand and consider the wonders of God.
14Hearken to these things, Job: Stand, and consider the wondrous works of God.
15Dost thou know when God doth place them, And caused to shine the light of His cloud?
15Dost thou know when God commanded the rains, to shew his light of his clouds?
16Dost thou know the balancings of a cloud? The wonders of the Perfect in knowledge?
16Knowest thou the great paths of the clouds, and the perfect knowledges?
17How thy garments <FI>are<Fi> warm, In the quieting of the earth from the south?
17Are not thy garments hot, when the south wind blows upon the earth?
18Thou hast made an expanse with Him For the clouds--strong as a hard mirror!
18Thou perhaps hast made the heavens with him, which are most strong, as if they were of molten brass.
19Let us know what we say to Him, We set not in array because of darkness.
19Shew us what we may say to him: or we are wrapped up in darkness.
20Is it declared to Him that I speak? If a man hath spoken, surely he is swallowed up.
20Who shall tell him the things I speak? even if a man shall speak, he shall be swallowed up.
21And now, they have not seen the light, Bright it <FI>is<Fi> in the clouds, And the wind hath passed by and cleanseth them.
21But now they see not the light: the air on a sudden shall be thickened into clouds, and the wind shall pass and drive them away.
22From the golden north it cometh, Beside God <FI>is<Fi> fearful honour.
22Cold cometh out of the north, and to God praise with fear.
