Job 25

1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

1Then Bildad the Shuhite made answer and said,

2Dominion and fear are with him; He maketh peace in his high places.

2Power and terror are with him, who maketh peace in his high places.

2Rule and power are his; he makes peace in his high places.

3Is there any number of his armies? And upon whom doth not his light arise?

3Is there any numbering of his soldiers? and upon whom shall not his light arise?

3Is it possible for his armies to be numbered? and on whom is not his light shining?

4How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

4Can man be justified compared with God, or he that is born of a woman appear clean?

4How then is it possible for man to be upright before God? or how may he be clean who is a son of woman?

5Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, And the stars are not pure in his sight:

5Behold even the moon doth not shine, and the stars are not pure in his sight.

5See, even the moon is not bright, and the stars are not clean in his eyes:

6How much less man, that is a worm! And the son of man, that is a worm!

6How much more is man than rottenness and the son of man than a worm?

6How much less man who is an insect, and the son of man who is a worm!
