Job 25

1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

1Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:

2Dominion and fear are with him; He maketh peace in his high places.

2God has power and deserves our awe; he keeps everything peaceful in his high places in heaven.

3Is there any number of his armies? And upon whom doth not his light arise?

3Can anyone count his heavenly armies? Does his light not shine on everyone?

4How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

4How then can a mere human be right before God? How can anyone born of a woman be pure?

5Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, And the stars are not pure in his sight:

5If even the moon is not bright enough and the stars are not pure in his eyes,

6How much less man, that is a worm! And the son of man, that is a worm!

6how much less is a human—who is like a maggot? How much less is any person—who is only a worm!
