1Now these are the generations of Esau, that is to say, Edom.
1And these <FI>are<Fi> births of Esau, who <FI>is<Fi> Edom.
1And these are the generations of Esau, the same is Edom.
2Esau's wives were women of Canaan: Adah, the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,
2Esau hath taken his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah daughter of Anah, daughter of Zibeon the Hivite,
2Esau took wives of the daughters of Chanaan: Ada the daughter of Elon the Hethite, and Oolibama the daughter of Ana, the daughter of Sebeon the Hevite:
3And Basemath, Ishmael's daughter, the sister of Nebaioth.
3and Bashemath daughter of Ishmael, sister of Nebajoth.
3And Basemath, the daughter of Ismael, sister of Nabajoth.
4Adah had a son Eliphaz; and Basemath was the mother of Reuel;
4And Adah beareth to Esau, Eliphaz; and Bashemath hath born Reuel;
4And Ada bore Eliphaz: Basemath bore Rahuel.
5Oholibamah was the mother of Jeush, Jalam, and Korah; these are the sons of Esau, whose birth took place in the land of Canaan.
5and Aholibamah hath born Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah. These <FI>are<Fi> sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan.
5Oolibama bore Jehus, and Ihelon, and Core. These are the sons of Esau, that were born to him in the land of Chanaan.
6Esau took his wives and his sons and his daughters, and all the people of his house, and his beasts and his cattle and all his goods which he had got together in the land of Canaan, and went into the land of Seir, away from his brother Jacob.
6And Esau taketh his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance which he hath acquired in the land of Canaan, and goeth into the country from the face of Jacob his brother;
6And Esau took his wives, and his sons and daughters, and every soul of his house, and his substance, and cattle, and all that he was able to acquire in the land of Chanaan: and went into another country, and departed from his brother Jacob.
7For their wealth was so great that the land was not wide enough for the two of them and all their cattle.
7for their substance was more abundant than to dwell together, and the land of their sojournings was not able to bear them because of their cattle;
7For they were exceeding rich, and could not dwell together: neither was the land in which they sojourned able to bear them, for the multitude of their flocks.
8So Esau made his living-place in the hill-country of Seir (Esau is Edom).
