1And these <FI>are<Fi> births of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and born to them are sons after the deluge.
1Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: these are the sons which they had after the great flow of waters
2`Sons of Japheth <FI>are<Fi> Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
2The sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.
3And sons of Gomer <FI>are<Fi> Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
3And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.
4And sons of Javan <FI>are<Fi> Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
4And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, the Kittim and the Dodanim.
5By these have the isles of the nations been parted in their lands, each by his tongue, by their families, in their nations.
5From these came the nations of the sea-lands, with their different families and languages.
6And sons of Ham <FI>are<Fi> Cush, and Mitzraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
6And the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.
7And sons of Cush <FI>are<Fi> Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah; and sons of Raamah <FI>are<Fi> Sheba and Dedan.
7And the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
8And Cush hath begotten Nimrod;
8And Cush was the father of Nimrod, who was the first of the great men of the earth.
9he hath begun to be a hero in the land; he hath been a hero in hunting before Jehovah; therefore it is said, `As Nimrod the hero <FI>in<Fi> hunting before Jehovah.'
9He was a very great bowman, so that there is a saying, Like Nimrod, a very great bowman.
10And the first part of his kingdom is Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar;
10And at the first, his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
11from that land he hath gone out to Asshur, and buildeth Nineveh, even the broad places of the city, and Calah,
11From that land he went out into Assyria, building Nineveh with its wide streets and Calah,
12and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah; it <FI>is<Fi> the great city.
12And Resen between Nineveh and Calah, which is a very great town.
13And Mitzraim hath begotten the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
13And Mizraim was the father of the Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim;
14and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim, (whence have come out Philistim,) and the Caphtorim.
14And Pathrusim and Casluhim and Caphtorim, from whom came the Philistines.
15And Canaan hath begotten Sidon his first-born, and Heth,
15And Canaan was the father of Zidon, who was his oldest son, and Heth,
16and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
16And the Jebusite and the Amorite and the Girgashite,
18and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite; and afterwards have the families of the Canaanite been scattered.
18And the Arvadite and the Zemarite and the Hamathite; after that the families of the Canaanites went far and wide in all directions;
19And the border of the Canaanite is from Sidon, <FI>in<Fi> thy coming towards Gerar, unto Gaza; <FI>in<Fi> thy coming towards Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, unto Lasha.
19Their country stretching from Zidon to Gaza, in the direction of Gerar; and to Lasha, in the direction of Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim.
20These <FI>are<Fi> sons of Ham, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, in their nations.
20All these, with their different families, languages, lands, and nations, are the offspring of Ham.
21As to Shem, father of all sons of Eber, brother of Japheth the elder, he hath also begotten:
21And Shem, the older brother of Japheth, the father of the children of Eber, had other sons in addition.
22Sons of Shem <FI>are<Fi> Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
22These are the sons of Shem: Elam and Asshur and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram.
23And sons of Aram <FI>are<Fi> Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
23And the sons of Aram: Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.
24And Arphaxad hath begotten Salah, and Salah hath begotten Eber.
24And Arpachshad became the father of Shelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber.
25And to Eber have two sons been born; the name of the one <FI>is<Fi> Peleg (for in his days hath the earth been divided,) and his brother's name <FI>is<Fi> Joktan.
25And Eber had two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, because in his time the peoples of the earth became separate; and his brother's name was Joktan.
26And Joktan hath begotten Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
26And Joktan was the father of Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah
29and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these <FI>are<Fi> sons of Joktan;
29And Ophir and Havilah and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.
30and their dwelling is from Mesha, <FI>in<Fi> thy coming towards Sephar, a mount of the east.
30And their country was from Mesha, in the direction of Sephar, the mountain of the east.
31These <FI>are<Fi> sons of Shem, by their families, by their tongues, in their lands, by their nations.
31These, with their families and their languages and their lands and their nations, are the offspring of Shem.
32These <FI>are<Fi> families of the sons of Noah, by their births, in their nations, and by these have the nations been parted in the earth after the deluge.
32These are the families of the sons of Noah, in the order of their generations and their nations: from these came all the nations of the earth after the great flow of waters.
