1Then he brought me forth into the outer court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was over against the building toward the north.
1And he took me out into the inner square in the direction of the north: and he took me into the rooms which were opposite the separate place and opposite the building to the north.
1And he bringeth me forth unto the outer court, the way northward, and he bringeth me in unto the chamber that <FI>is<Fi> over-against the separate place, and that <FI>is<Fi> over-against the building at the north.
2Before the length of a hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits.
2On the north side it was a hundred cubits long and fifty cubits wide,
2At the front of the length <FI>is<Fi> a hundred cubits <FI>at<Fi> the north opening, and the breadth fifty cubits.
3Over against the twentycubitswhich belonged to the inner court, and over against the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery against gallery in the third story.
3Opposite the space of twenty cubits which was part of the inner square, and opposite the stone floor of the outer square. There were covered ways facing one another on the third floor.
3Over-against the twenty <FI>cubits<Fi> that are to the inner court, and over-against the pavement that <FI>is<Fi> to the outer court, <FI>is<Fi> gallery over-against gallery, in the three <FI>storeys<Fi> .
4And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits’ breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors were toward the north.
4And in front of the rooms was a walk, ten cubits wide and a hundred cubits long; and their doors were facing north.
4And at the front of the chambers <FI>is<Fi> a walk of ten cubits in breadth unto the inner part, a way of one cubit, and their openings <FI>are<Fi> at the north.
5Now the upper chambers were shorter; for the galleries took away from these, more than from the lower and the middlemost, in the building.
5And the higher rooms were shorter: for the covered ways took up more space from these than from the lower and middle rooms.
5And the upper chambers <FI>are<Fi> short, for the galleries contain more than these, than the lower, and than the middle one, of the building;
6For they were in three stories, and they had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the uppermost was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground.
6For they were on three floors, and they had no pillars like the pillars of the outer square; so the highest was narrower than the lowest and middle floors from the earth level.
6for they <FI>are<Fi> threefold, and they have no pillars as the pillars of the court, therefore it hath been kept back--more than the lower and than the middle one--from the ground.
7And the wall that was without by the side of the chambers, toward the outer court before the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits.
7And the wall which went outside by the side of the rooms, in the direction of the outer square in front of the rooms, was fifty cubits long.
7As to the wall that <FI>is<Fi> at the outside, over-against the chambers, the way of the outer-court at the front of the chambers, its length <FI>is<Fi> fifty cubits;
8For the length of the chambers that were in the outer court was fifty cubits: and, lo, before the temple were a hundred cubits.
8For the rooms in the outer square were fifty cubits long: and in front of the Temple was a space of a hundred cubits.
8for the length of the chambers that <FI>are<Fi> to the outer court <FI>is<Fi> fifty cubits, and of those on the front of the temple a hundred cubits.
9And from under these chambers was the entry on the east side, as one goeth into them from the outer court.
9And under these rooms was the way in from the east side, as one goes into them from the outer square at the head of the outer wall.
9And under these chambers <FI>is<Fi> the entrance from the east, in one's going into them from the outer court.
10In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, before the separate place, and before the building, there were chambers.
10(And he took me) to the south, and in front of the separate place and in front of the building there were rooms.
10In the breadth of the wall of the court eastward, unto the front of the separate place, and unto the front of the building, <FI>are<Fi> chambers.
11And the way before them was like the appearance of the way of the chambers which were toward the north; according to their length so was their breadth: and all their egresses were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.
11And there was a walk in front of them like that by the rooms on the north; they were equally long and wide; and the ways out of them were the same in design and had the same sort of doors.
11And the way before them <FI>is<Fi> as the appearance of the chambers that <FI>are<Fi> northward, according to their length so <FI>is<Fi> their breadth, and all their outlets, and according to their fashions, and according to their openings.
12And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door at the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them.
12And under the rooms on the south was a door at the head of the outer wall in the direction of the east as one goes in.
12And according to the openings of the chambers that <FI>are<Fi> southward <FI>is<Fi> an opening at the head of the way, the way directly in the front of the wall eastward in entering them.
13Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they are the holy chambers, where the priests that are near unto Jehovah shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meal-offering, and the sin-offering, and the trespass-offering; for the place is holy.
13And he said to me, The north rooms and the south rooms in front of the separate place are the holy rooms, where the priests who come near the Lord take the most holy things for their food: there the most holy things are placed, with the meal offering and the sin-offering and the offering for error; for the place is holy.
13And he saith unto me, `The north chambers, the south chambers, that <FI>are<Fi> at the front of the separate place, they <FI>are<Fi> holy chambers, where the priests (who <FI>are<Fi> near to Jehovah) eat the most holy things, there they place the most holy things, and the present, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering, for the place <FI>is<Fi> holy.
14When the priests enter in, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the outer court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy: and they shall put on other garments, and shall approach to that which pertaineth to the people.
14When the priests go in, they may not go out of the holy place into the outer square, and there they are to put the robes in which they do the work of the Lord's house, for they are holy: and they have to put on other clothing before they come near that which has to do with the people.
14In the priests' going in, they come not out from the sanctuary unto the outer court, and there they place their garments with which they minister, for they <FI>are<Fi> holy, and have put on other garments, and have drawn near unto that which <FI>is<Fi> for the people.'
15Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about.
15And when he had come to the end of measuring the inner house, he took me out to the doorway looking to the east, and took its measure all round.
15And he hath finished the measurements of the inner house, and hath brought me forth the way of the gate whose front <FI>is<Fi> eastward, and he hath measured it all round about.
16He measured on the east side with the measuring reed five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.
16He went round and took the measure of it on the east side with the measuring rod, five hundred, measured with the rod all round.
16He hath measured the east side with the measuring-reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring-reed round about.
17He measured on the north side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed round about.
17And he went round and took the measure of it on the north side with the measuring rod, five hundred, measured with the rod all round.
17He hath measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.
18He measured on the south side five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
18And he went round and took the measure of it on the south side with the measuring rod, five hundred, measured with the rod all round.
18The south side he hath measured, five hundred reeds, with the measuring-reed.
19He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.
19And he went round and took the measure of it on the west side with the measuring rod, five hundred, measured with the rod all round.
19He hath turned round unto the west side, he hath measured five hundred reeds with the measuring-reed.
20He measured it on the four sides: it had a wall round about, the length five hundred, and the breadth five hundred, to make a separation between that which was holy and that which was common.
20He took its measure on the four sides: and it had a wall all round, five hundred long and five hundred wide, separating what was holy from what was common.
20At the four sides he hath measured it, a wall <FI>is<Fi> to it all round about, the length five hundred, and the breadth five hundred, to separate between the holy and the profane place.
