1And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they made cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as the Lord commanded Moses.
1And from the needlework of blue and purple and red they made the robes used for the work of the holy place, and the holy robes for Aaron, as the Lord had given orders to Moses.
1And he made, of violet and purple, scarlet and fine linen, the vestments for Aaron to wear when he ministered in the holy places, as the Lord commanded Moses.
2And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
2The ephod he made of gold and blue and purple and red and the best linen;
2So he made an ephod of gold, violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen,
3And they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with cunning work.
3Hammering the gold into thin plates and cutting it into wires to be worked into the blue and the purple and the red and the linen by the designer.
3With embroidered work, and he cut thin plates of gold, and drew them small into threads, that they might be twisted with the woof of the foresaid colours,
4They made shoulderpieces for it, to couple it together: by the two edges was it coupled together.
4And they made two bands for joining its edges together at the top of the arms.
4And two borders coupled one to the other in the top on either side,
5And the curious girdle of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; as the Lord commanded Moses.
5And the beautifully worked band which went on it was of the same design and the same material, worked in gold and blue and purple and red and twisted linen-work, as the Lord gave orders to Moses.
5And a girdle of the same colours, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
6And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the children of Israel.
6Then they made the beryl stones, fixed in twisted frames of gold and cut like the cutting of a stamp, with the names of the children of Israel.
6He prepared also two onyx stones, fast set and closed in gold, and graven, by the art of a lapidary, with the names of the children of Israel:
7And he put them on the shoulders of the ephod, that they should be stones for a memorial to the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses.
7These he put on the ephod, over the arm-holes, to be stones of memory for the children of Israel, as the Lord had said to Moses.
7And he set them in the sides of the ephod, for a memorial of the children of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
8And he made the breastplate of cunning work, like the work of the ephod; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
8The priest's bag was designed like the ephod, of the best linen worked with gold and blue and purple and red.
8He made also a rational with embroidered work, according to the work of the ephod, of gold, violet, purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen:
9It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof, being doubled.
9It was square and folded in two, as long and as wide as the stretch of a man's hand;
9Foursquare, double, of the measure of a span.
10And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the first row.
10And on it they put four lines of stones: in the first line was a carnelian, a chrysolite, and an emerald;
10And he set four rows of precious stones in it. In the first row was a sardius, a topaz, an emerald.
11And the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
11In the second, a ruby, a sapphire, and an onyx;
11In the second, a carbuncle, a sapphire, and a jasper.
12And the third row, a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.
12In the third, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;
12In the third, a ligurius, an agate, and an amethyst.
13And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper: they were inclosed in ouches of gold in their inclosings.
13In the fourth, a topaz, a beryl, and a jasper; they were fixed in twisted frames of gold.
13In the fourth, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a beryl, set and enclosed in gold by their rows.
14And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one with his name, according to the twelve tribes.
14There were twelve stones for the twelve tribes of Israel; on every one the name of one of the tribes of Israel was cut, like the cutting of a stamp.
14And the twelve stones, were engraved with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, each one with its several name.
15And they made upon the breastplate chains at the ends, of wreathen work of pure gold.
15And on the bag they put gold chains, twisted like cords.
15They made also in the rational little chains, linked one to another, of the purest gold,
16And they made two ouches of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings in the two ends of the breastplate.
16And they made two gold frames and two gold rings, the rings being fixed to the ends of the priest's bag;
16And two hooks, and as many rings of gold. And they set the rings on either side of the rational,
17And they put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate.
17And they put the two twisted chains on the two rings at the ends of the priest's bag;
17On which rings the two golden chains should hang, which they put into the hooks that stood out in the corners of the ephod.
18And the two ends of the two wreathen chains they fastened in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod, before it.
18And the other two ends of the chains were joined to the two frames and fixed to the front of the ephod over the arm-holes.
18These both before and behind so answered one another, that the ephod and the rational were bound together,
19And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, upon the border of it, which was on the side of the ephod inward.
19And they made two rings of gold and put them on the two lower ends of the bag, on the inner side nearest to the ephod.
19Being fastened to the girdle, and strongly coupled with rings, which a violet fillet joined, lest they should flag loose, and be moved one from the other, as the Lord commanded Moses.
20And they made two other golden rings, and put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart of it, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
20And two other gold rings were put on the front of the ephod, over the arm-holes, at the join, and over the worked band.
20They made also the tunic of the ephod all of violet,
21And they did bind the breastplate by his rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not be loosed from the ephod; as the Lord commanded Moses.
21And the rings on the bag were fixed to the rings of the ephod by a blue cord, keeping it in place over the band, so that the bag might not get loose, as the Lord gave orders to Moses.
21And a hole for the head in the upper part at the middle, and a woven border round about the hole:
22And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.
22The robe which went with the ephod was made all of blue;
22And beneath at the feet pomegranates of violet, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen:
23And there was an hole in the midst of the robe, as the hole of an habergeon, with a band round about the hole, that it should not rend.
23With a hole at the top in the middle, like the hole in the coat of a fighting-man, edged with a band to make it strong.
23And little bells of the purest gold, which they put between the pomegranates at the bottom of the tunic round about:
24And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen.
24The skirts of the robe were worked all round with fruits in blue and purple and red made of twisted linen.
24To wit, a bell of gold, and a pomegranate, wherewith the high priest went adorned, when he discharged his ministry, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
25And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates;
25And between the fruits all round the skirt they put gold bells, as the Lord gave orders to Moses.
25They made also fine linen tunics with woven work for Aaron and his sons:
26A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in; as the Lord commanded Moses.
26All round the skirt of the robe were bells and fruits in turn.
26And mitres with their little crowns of fine linen:
27And they made coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,
27The coats for Aaron and his sons they made of the best linen;
27And linen breeches of fine linen:
28And a mitre of fine linen, and goodly bonnets of fine linen, and linen breeches of fine twined linen,
28And the twisted head-dress for Aaron, and beautiful head-dresses of linen, and linen trousers,
28And a girdle of fine twisted linen, violet, purple, and scarlet twice dyed, of embroidery work, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
29And a girdle of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, of needlework; as the Lord commanded Moses.
29And a linen band worked with a design of blue and purple and red, as the Lord had said to Moses.
29They made also the plate of sacred veneration of the purest gold, and they wrote on it with the engraving of a lapidary: The Holy of the Lord:
30And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
30The plate for the holy crown was made of the best gold, and on it were cut these words, HOLY TO THE LORD.
30And they fastened it to the mitre with a violet fillet, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
31And they tied unto it a lace of blue, to fasten it on high upon the mitre; as the Lord commanded Moses.
31It was fixed to the head-dress by a blue cord, as the Lord had given orders to Moses.
31So all the work of the tabernacle and of the roof of the testimony was finished: and the children of Israel did all things which the Lord had commanded Moses.
32Thus was all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation finished: and the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.
32So all the work on the House of the Tent of meeting was done; as the Lord had given orders to Moses, so the children of Israel did it.
32And they offered the tabernacle, and the roof, and the whole furniture, the rings, the boards, the bars, the pillars and their sockets,
33And they brought the tabernacle unto Moses, the tent, and all his furniture, his taches, his boards, his bars, and his pillars, and his sockets,
33Then they took the House to Moses, the tent with all the things for it; its hooks, its boards, its rods, its pillars, and its bases;
33The cover of rams' skins dyed red, and the other cover of violet skins,
34And the covering of rams’ skins dyed red, and the covering of badgers’ skins, and the vail of the covering,
34The outer cover of sheepskins coloured red, and the cover of leather, and the veil for the doorway;
34The veil, the ark, the bars, the propitiatory,
35The ark of the testimony, and the staves thereof, and the mercy seat,
35The ark of the law, with its rods and its cover;
35The table, with the vessels thereof, and the loaves of proposition:
36The table, and all the vessels thereof, and the shewbread,
36The table, with all its vessels and the holy bread;
36The candlestick, the lamps, and the furniture of them, with the oil:
37The pure candlestick, with the lamps thereof, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light,
37The support for the lights, with the vessels for the lights to be put in their places on it, and all its vessels, and the oil for the lights;
37The altar of gold, and the ointment, and the incense of spices:
38And the golden altar, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the tabernacle door,
38And the gold altar, and the holy oil, and the sweet perfume for burning, and the curtain for the doorway of the tent;
38And the hanging in the entry of the tabernacle:
39The brasen altar, and his grate of brass, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his foot,
39And the brass altar, with its network of brass, and its rods and all its vessels, and the washing-vessel and its base;
39The altar of brass, the grate, the bars, and all the vessels thereof: the laver, with the foot thereof: the hangings of the court, and the pillars, with their sockets:
40The hangings of the court, his pillars, and his sockets, and the hanging for the court gate, his cords, and his pins, and all the vessels of the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of the congregation,
40The hangings for the open space, with the pillars and their bases, and the curtain for the doorway, and the cords and nails, and all the instruments necessary for the work of the House of the Tent of meeting;
40The hanging in the entry of the court, and the little cords, and the pins thereof. Nothing was wanting of the vessels, that were commanded to be made for the ministry of the tabernacle, and for the roof of the covenant.
41The cloths of service to do service in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons’ garments, to minister in the priest’s office.
41The robes for use in the holy place, and the holy robes for Aaron and his sons when acting as priests.
41The vestments also, which the priests, to wit, Aaron and his sons, use in the sanctuary,
42According to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so the children of Israel made all the work.
42The children of Israel did everything as the Lord had given orders to Moses.
42The children of Israel offered, as the Lord had commanded.
43And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the Lord had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them.
43Then Moses, when he saw all their work and saw that they had done everything as the Lord had said, gave them his blessing.
43And when Moses saw all things finished, he blessed them.
