1Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every man that was wise-hearted, in whom Jehovah had put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work of the service of the sanctuary — according to all that Jehovah had commanded.

1And Bezalel and Oholiab shall work, and every wise-hearted man, in whom Jehovah hath put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all the work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that Jehovah hath commanded.

1Beseleel therefore, and Ooliab, and every wise man, to whom the Lord gave wisdom and understanding, to know how to work artificially, made the things that are necessary for the uses of the sanctuary, and which the Lord commanded.

2And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every man that was wise-hearted, in whose heartGod had put wisdom, every one whose heart moved him to come to the work to do it.

2And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab, and every wise-hearted man, in whose heart Jehovah had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:

2And when Moses had called them, and every skilful man, to whom the Lord had given wisdom, and such as of their own accord had offered themselves to the making of the work,

3And they took from Moses every heave-offering that the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it. And they still brought him voluntary offerings morning by morning.

3and they received of Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, wherewith to make it. And they brought yet unto him freewill-offerings every morning.

3He delivered all the offerings of the children of Israel unto them. And while they were earnest about the work, the people daily in the morning offered their vows.

4And all the wise men that wrought all the work of the sanctuary came, every man from his work which they wrought,

4And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they wrought;

4Whereupon the workmen being constrained to come,

5and spoke to Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work that Jehovah commanded to be done.

5and they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which Jehovah commanded to make.

5Said to Moses: The people offereth more than is necessary.

6Then Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed through the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the heave-offering of the sanctuary! So the people were restrained from bringing;

6And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.

6Moses therefore commanded proclamation to be made by the crier's voice: Let neither man nor woman offer any more for the work of the sanctuary. And so they ceased from offering gifts,

7for the work they had was sufficient for all the work to do it, and it was too much.

7For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.

7Because the things that were offered did suffice, and were too much.

8And every wise-hearted man among those that wrought the work of the tabernacle made ten curtains of twined byssus, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: [with] cherubim of artistic work did he make them.

8And all the wise-hearted men among them that wrought the work made the tabernacle with ten curtains; of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, with cherubim, the work of the skilful workman, Bezalel made them.

8And all the men that were wise of heart, to accomplish the work of the tabernacle, made ten curtains of twisted fine linen, and violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, with varied work, and the art of embroidering:

9The length of one curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits — one measure for all the curtains.

9The length of each curtain was eight and twenty cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits: all the curtains had one measure.

9The length of one curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth four: all the curtains were of the same size.

10And he coupled five of the curtains one to another, and [the other] five curtains coupled he one to another.

10And he coupled five curtains one to another: and the other five curtains he coupled one to another.

10And he joined five curtains, one to another, and the other five he coupled one to another.

11And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain at the edge of the coupling; he did likewise in the edge of the outermost curtain in the other coupling.

11And he made loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling: likewise he made in the edge of the curtain that was outmost in the second coupling.

11He made also loops of violet in the edge of one curtain on both sides, and in the edge of the other curtain in like manner,

12He made fifty loops in one curtain, and he made fifty loops at the end of the curtain that was in the other coupling: the loops were opposite to one another.

12Fifty loops made he in the one curtain, and fifty loops made he in the edge of the curtain that was in the second coupling: the loops were opposite one to another.

12That the loops might meet one against another, and might be joined each with the other.

13And he made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains together with the clasps, so that the tabernacle became one.

13And he made fifty clasps of gold, and coupled the curtains one to another with the clasps: so the tabernacle was one.

13Whereupon also he cast fifty rings of gold, that might catch the loops of the curtains, and they might be made one tabernacle.

14And he made curtains of goats' [hair] for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains did he make them.

14And he made curtains of goats’hairfor a tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made them.

14He made also eleven curtains of goats' hair, to cover the roof of the tabernacle:

15The length of one curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits the breadth of one curtain — one measure for the eleven curtains.

15The length of each curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits the breadth of each curtain: the eleven curtains had one measure.

15One curtain was thirty cubits long, and four cubits broad: all the curtains were of one measure.

16And he coupled five of the curtains by themselves, and six of the curtains by themselves.

16And he coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves.

16Five of which he joined apart, and the other six apart.

17And he made fifty loops on the edge of the outermost curtain in the coupling, and fifty loops made he on the edge of the curtain in the other coupling.

17And he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that was outmost in the coupling, and fifty loops made he upon the edge of the curtain which was outmost in the second coupling.

17And he made fifty loops in the edge of one curtain, and fifty in the edge of another curtain, that they might be joined one to another.

18And he made fifty clasps of copper to couple the tent, that it might be one.

18And he made fifty clasps of brass to couple the tent together, that it might be one.

18And fifty buckles of brass wherewith the roof might be knit together, that of all the curtains there might be made one covering.

19And he made a covering for the tent [of] rams' skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers' skins above [that].

19And he made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of sealskins above.

19He made also a cover for the tabernacle of rams' skins dyed red; and another cover over that of violet skins.

20And he made the boards for the tabernacle of acacia-wood, standing up;

20And he made the boards for the tabernacle, of acacia wood, standing up.

20He made also the boards of the tabernacle of setim wood standing.

21ten cubits the length of the boards, and one cubit and a half the breadth of one board;

21Ten cubits was the length of a board, and a cubit and a half the breadth of each board.

21The length of one board was ten cubits; and the breadth was one cubit and a half.

22two tenons in one board, connected one with the other: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle.

22Each board had two tenons, joined one to another: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle.

22There were two mortises throughout every board, that one might be joined to the other. And in this manner he made for all the boards of the tabernacle.

23And he made the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side southward;

23And he made the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side southward;

23Of which twenty were at the south side southward,

24and he made forty bases of silver under the twenty boards, two bases under one board, for its two tenons, and two bases under another board for its two tenons.

24and he made forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for its two tenons, and two sockets under another board for its two tenons.

24With forty sockets of silver, two sockets were put under one board on the two sides of the corners, where the mortises of the sides end in the corners.

25And for the other side of the tabernacle, on the side toward the north, he made twenty boards,

25And for the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, he made twenty boards,

25At that side also of the tabernacle, that looketh towards the north, he made twenty boards,

26and their forty bases of silver, two bases under one board, and two bases under another board.

28and he made two boards for the corners of the tabernacle at the rear;

28And two boards made he for the corners of the tabernacle in the hinder part.

28And two others at each corner of the tabernacle behind:

29and they were joined beneath, and were coupled together at the top thereof into one ring: thus he did to both of them in both the corners;

29And they were double beneath; and in like manner they were entire unto the top thereof unto one ring: thus he did to both of them in the two corners.

29Which were also joined from beneath unto the top, and went together into one joint. Thus he did on both sides at the corners:

30and there were eight boards, and their silver bases: sixteen bases, under every board two bases.

30And there were eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; under every board two sockets.

30So there were in all eight boards, and they had sixteen sockets of silver, to wit, two sockets under every board.

33And he made the middle bar in the midst of the boards reach from one end to the other.

33And he made the middle bar to pass through in the midst of the boards from the one end to the other.

33He made also another bar, that might come by the midst of the boards from corner to corner.

34And he overlaid the boards with gold; and made their rings of gold [as] receptacles for the bars; and overlaid the bars with gold.

34And he overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold for places for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.

34And the boards themselves he overlaid with gold casting for them sockets of silver. And their rings he made of gold, through which the bars might be drawn: and he covered the bars themselves with plates of gold.

38and the five pillars of it with their hooks: and he overlaid their capitals and their fillets with gold; and their five sockets were of brass.

38And five pillars with their heads, which he covered with gold, and their sockets he cast of brass.
