1And king Assuerus made all the land, and all the islands of the sea tributary.
1And the king Ahasuerus setteth a tribute on the land and the isles of the sea;
2And his strength and his empire, and the dignity and greatness wherewith he exalted Mardochai, are written in the books of the Medes, and of the Persians:
2and all the work of his strength, and his might, and the explanation of the greatness of Mordecai with which the king made him great, are they not written on the book of the Chronicles of Media and Persia?
3And how Mardochai of the race of the Jews, was next after king Assuerus: and great among the Jews, and acceptable to the people of his brethren, seeking the good of his people, and speaking those things which were for the welfare of his seed.
3For Mordecai the Jew <FI>is<Fi> second to king Ahasuerus, and a great man of the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking good for his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
5I remember a dream that I saw, which signified these same things: and nothing thereof hath failed.
