1 Chronicles 7

1Now the sons of Issachar were Thola, and Phua, Jasub and Simeron, four.

1And of the sons of Issachar: Tola and Puah, Jashub and Shimron, four.

2The sons of Thola: Ozi and Raphaia, and Jeriel, and Jemai, and Jebsem, and Samuel, chiefs of the houses of their kindreds. Of the posterity of Thola were numbered in the days of David, two and twenty thousand six hundred most valiant men.

2And the sons of Tola: Uzzi and Rephaiah and Jeriel and Jahmai and Ibsam and Shemuel, heads of their families; they were men of war; in the record of their generations their number in the time of David was twenty-two thousand, six hundred.

3The sons of Ozi: Izrahia, of whom were born Michael, and Obadia, and Joel, and Jesia, five all great men.

3And the sons of Uzzi; Izrahiah; and the sons of Izrahiah: Michael and Obadiah and Joel and Isshiah, five; all of them chiefs.

4And there were with them by their families and peoples, six and thirty thousand most valiant men ready for war: for they had many wives and children.

4And with them, recorded in generations by their families, were bands of fighting-men, thirty-six thousand of them, for they had a great number of wives and sons.

5Their brethren also throughout all the house of Issachar, were numbered fourscore and seven thousand most valiant men for war.

5And there were recorded among all the families of Issachar, great men of war, eighty-seven thousand.

6The sons of Benjamin were Bela, and Bechor, and Jadihel, three.

6The sons of Benjamin: Bela and Becher and Jediael, three.

7The sons of Bela: Esbon, and Ozi, and Ozial, and Jerimoth and Urai, five chiefs of their families, and most valiant warriors, and their number was twenty-two thousand and thirty-four.

7And the sons of Bela: Ezbon and Uzzi and Uzziel and Jerimoth and Iri, five; heads of their families, great men of war; there were twenty-two thousand and thirty-four of them recorded by their families.

8And the sons of Bechor were Zamira, and Joas, and Eliezer, and Elioenai, and Amai, and Jerimoth, and Abia, and Anathoth, and Almath: all these were the sons of Bechor.

8And the sons of Becher: Zemirah and Joash and Eliezer and Elioenai and Omri and Jerimoth and Abijah and Anathoth and Alemeth. All these were the sons of Becher.

9And they were numbered by the families, heads of their kindreds, most valiant men for war, twenty thousand and two hundred.

9And they were recorded by their generations, heads of their families, great men of war, twenty thousand, two hundred.

10And the son of Jadihel: Balan. And the sons of Balan: Jehus and Benjamin, and Aod, and Chanana, and Zethan and Tharsis, and Ahisahar.

10And the sons of Jediael: Bilhan; and the sons of Bilhan: Jeush and Benjamin and Ehud and Chenaanah and Zethan and Tarshish and Ahishahar.

11All these were sons of Jadihel, heads of their kindreds, most valiant men, seventeen thousand and two hundred fifty to go out to war.

11All these were the sons of Jediael, by the heads of their families, seventeen thousand, two hundred men of war, able to go out with the army for war.

12Sepham also and Hapham the sons of Hir: and Hasim the sons of Aher.

12And Shuppim and Huppim. The sons of Dan, Hushim his son, one.

13And the sons of Nephtali were Jasiel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Sellum, sons of Bala.

13The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel and Guni and Jezer and Shallum, the sons of Bilhah.

14And the son of Manasses, Ezriel: and his concubine the Syrian bore Machir the father of Galaad.

14The sons of Manasseh by his servant-wife, the Aramaean woman: she gave birth to Machir, the father of Gilead;

15And Machir took wives for his sons Happhim, and Saphan: and he had a sister named Maacha: the name of the second was Salphaad, and Salphaad had daughters.

15(And Gilead took a wife, whose name was Maacah, and his sister's name was Hammoleketh;) and the name of his brother was Zelophehad, who was the father of daughters.

16And Maacha the wife of Machir bore a son, and she called his name Phares: and the name of his brother was Sares: and his sons were Ulam and Recen.

16And Maacah, the wife of Gilead, gave birth to a son to whom she gave the name Peresh; and his brother was named Sheresh; and his sons were Ulam and Rakem.

17And the son of Ulam, Baden. These are the sons of Galaad, the son of Machir, the son of Manasses.

17And the son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir the son of Manasseh.

18And his sister named Queen bore Goodlyman, and Abiezer, and Mohola.

18And his sister Hammoleketh was the mother of Ishhod and Abiezer and Mahlah.

19And the sons of Semida were Ahiu, and Sechem, and Leci and Aniam.

19And the sons of Shemida were Ahian and Shechem and Likhi and Aniam.

20And the sons of Ephraim were Suthala, Bared his son, Thahath his son, Elada his son, Thahath his son, and his son Zabad,

20And the sons of Ephraim: Shuthelah and Bered his son, and Tahath his son, and Eleadah his son, and Tahath his son,

21And his son Suthala, and his son Ezer, and Elad: and the men of Geth born in the land slew them, because they came down to invade their possessions.

21And Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and Ezer and Elead, whom the men of Gath, who had been living in the land from their birth, put to death, because they came down to take away their cattle.

22And Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him.

22And for a long time Ephraim their father went on weeping for them, and his brothers came to give him comfort.

23And he went in to his wife: and she conceived and bore a son, and he called his name Beria, because he was born when it went evil with his house:

23After that, he had connection with his wife, and she became with child and gave birth to a son, to whom his father gave the name of Beriah, because trouble had come on his family.

24And his daughter was Sara, who built Bethoron, the nether and the upper, and Ozensara.

24And his daughter was Sheerah, the builder of Beth-horon the lower and the higher, and Uzzen-sheerah.

25And Rapha was his son, and Reseph, and Thale, of whom was born Thaan,

25And Rephah was his son, and Resheph; his son was Telah, and his son was Tahan;

26Who begot Laadan: and his son was Ammiud, who begot Elisama,

26Ladan was his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,

27Of whom was born Nun, who had Josue for his son.

27Nun his son, Joshua his son.

28And their possessions and habitations were Bethel with her daughters, and eastward Noran, and westward Gazer and her daughters, Sichem also with her daughters, as far as Asa with her daughters.

28Their heritage and their living-places were Beth-el and its daughter-towns, and Naaran to the east, and Gezer to the west, with its daughter-towns, as well as Shechem and its daughter-towns as far as Azzah and its daughter-towns;

29And by the borders of the sons of Manasses Bethsan and her daughters, Thanach and her daughters, Mageddo and her daughters: Dor and her daughters: in these dwelt the children of Joseph, the son of Israel.

29And by the limits of the children of Manasseh, Beth-shean and its daughter-towns, Taanach, Megiddo, and Dor, with their daughter-towns. In these the children of Joseph, the son of Israel, were living.

30The children of Aser were Jemna, and Jesua, and Jessui, and Baria, and Sara their sister.

30The sons of Asher: Imnah and Ishvah and Ishvi and Beriah and Serah, their sister.

31And the sons of Baria: Haber, and Melchiel: he is the father of Barsaith.

31And the sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel, who was the father of Birzaith.

32And Heber begot Jephlat, and Somer, and Hotham, and Suaa their sister.

32And Heber was the father of Japhlet and Shomer and Hotham and Shua, their sister.

33The sons of Jephlat: Phosech, and Chamaal, and Asoth: these are the sons of Jephlat.

33And the sons of Japhlet: Pasach and Bimhal and Ashvath. These are the sons of Japhlet.

34And the sons of Somer: Ahi, and Roaga and Haba, and Aram.

34And the sons of Shomer: Ahi and Rohgah, Jehubbah and Aram.

35And the sons of Helem his brother: Supha, and Jemna, and Selles, and Amal.

35And the sons of Hotham, his brother: Zophah and Imna and Shelesh and Amal.

36The sons of Supha: Sue, Hernapher, and Sual, and Beri, and Jamra.

36The sons of Zophah: Suah and Harnepher and Shual and Beri and Imrah,

37Bosor and Hod, and Samma, and Salusa, and Jethran, and Bera.

37Bezer and Hod and Shamma and Shilshah and Ithran and Beera.

38The sons of Jether: Jephone, and Phaspha, and Ara.

38And the sons of Jether: Jephunneh and Pispah and Ara.

39And the sons of Olla: Aree, and Haniel, and Resia.

39And the sons of Ulla: Arah and Hanniel and Rizia.

40All these were sons of Aser, heads of their families, choice and most valiant captains of captains: and the number of them that were of the age that was fit for war, was six and twenty thousand.

40All these were the children of Asher, heads of their families, specially strong men of war, chiefs of the rulers. They were recorded in the army for war, twenty-six thousand men in number.
